My New Bench

Sooooooo, you may have noticed from my revamped website that I made some changes in my coaching niche. Some might call it a relocation of sorts.

I shifted from a PLAY-inspired hot air balloon… to a familiar bench.

In many ways the bench still offers playfulness. Symbolically located on a woodland edge, it’s an invitation for fiercely independent, high achievers to...

“Sit your rump down!”

(cue falcon wailing call)

I’m swapping metaphors because clients who want to find more play in their lives have also shared that they’re longing to pause the constant ‘doing.’

The kind of ‘doing, doing, doing’ their long-term survival mode has normalized, which has understandably led to burn out and disconnection.

So, they’re caught between the drive to succeed and the inevitable exhaustion from the parkour pace they’ve been keeping.

You’ll see on the Home and About pages that this bench invitation offers a flexible framework of restorative pauses as a way to shift from this kind of surviving energy to thriving.

I’m so eager to see how clients will use these pauses and the insights they provide. I’m also committed to connecting with other tools, practices, and communities as additional resources for clients.

If you’re interested following along on this new path, drop me a message on my Meet page to be added to my email list or email me directly at heidi@coachheidiv.com .

I look forward to seeing where this path takes us.
